EPIC and the University “Gabriele d’Annunzio” Chieti-Pescara Presented the VOICE Project during the University Career Day

The ESF+ project VOICE – Vocational Opportunities and Integration for Refugee Community Empowerment – was presented during the Career Day organised by the University “Gabriele d’Annunzio” Chieti-Pescara, one of the official partners of the international consortium implementing the project together with organizations from Belgium, Spain, Poland and Italy.

Representatives from both EPIC and the University “Gabriele d’Annunzio”, as partners of the VOICE project, took part in the event and jointly promoted the project’s objectives and activities. The Career Day brought together students, academic staff, organizations and stakeholders from different sectors to foster dialogue on employability, innovation and professional development opportunities. The event also attracted an international audience, with participants from different nationalities, including members of the Ukrainian community, further reinforcing the project’s inclusive and European dimension.

During the Career Day, the VOICE team presented the project’s mission to support the vocational upskilling, reskilling and social integration of Ukrainian refugees across Europe through innovative educational and social innovation approaches.

The participation in the Career Day also represented an important opportunity to carry out an initial test and validation activity of the VOICE project approach and dissemination strategy. Through direct interaction with students, researchers and stakeholders, the VOICE staff assessed interest in the project’s training resources and objectives, and promoted discussion on the relevance of vocational education, digital skills and social innovation for refugee integration. This practical exchange contributed to validating the project’s methodology and strengthening its future implementation and outreach activities, in line with the project’s WP dedicated to testing, validation and performance evaluation.

The participation in the Career Day represented an important opportunity to raise awareness among students and young professionals about European cooperation projects and the importance of social innovation in addressing contemporary societal challenges.
