EPIC promotes the use of GreenComp – the European Sustainability Competence Framework developed by the European Commission – as a key reference to foster sustainability competences. GreenComp defines the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to think, plan and act responsibly towards the planet, and EPIC supports its uptake through local community engagement and participation in international projects.
Developed within the Erasmus+ project MORE – Multifunctional role of women as a key driver for rural development, in which EPIC participates as an associated partner, this training module introduces the GreenComp framework and its approach to sustainability competences. It supports learners in understanding the key concepts behind GreenComp, including the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to think, plan and act for sustainability, fostering awareness and engagement with sustainable development. https://www.moreproject.eu/
Developed within the Erasmus+ project NICHE 2 – Nurturing Intangible Cultural Heritage for Entrepreneurship, in which EPIC participates as an associated partner, the following training module represents a practical example of the application of the GreenComp framework. The module on green and sustainable practices in Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) was developed based on a GreenComp matrix created within the project, which was used to define the learning outcomes and integrate sustainability competences (knowledge, skills and attitudes) into the curriculum.
